I'm leaving for Ireland today!!!!!!!

Friday, May 02, 2008

Well....lots going on in my life right now. I am still loving my new car! I keep meaning to post more pics....if i only had the time.

This weekend is jam packed!! We have a Women's ministries thing for the church tonight. It's actually a sleepover at someone's house.......I don't think i'll be spending the night. I don't know if I'm ready for them to see that side of me yet......actually, I don't know if THEY'RE really ready! The deep sleeping...the hard to wake up....the grogginess.....it's a mess.

Sunday we are having a huge church-wide bake sale to raise money for all the Summer camps (youth, missionettes, kids, etc). I mean we're talkin' that some people will buy a pie for about $200 to support a kid to go to Camp. We're hoping to have a good turn out. And I'm going to give it a whirl in the kitchen this weekend and try to come up with some elaborate cake to auction off. Wish me luck!

Also on sunday, I'm preaching for the main service. We're in the middle of a series called Nothing's Too Hard for God. It's a good one. And I have the opportunity to take one of the sundays to preach. This is very exciting for me!!

One of the youth students has a band performance on sunday night (like a wind ensemble sort of band), so we're going to cut youth short and go see him perform.

So...after this full weekend.......I'm off to IRELAND to see my sister!!!! My parents leave on sunday, but I don't leave until Monday. I have about a 10 1/2 hour DIRECT flight from LAX to Dublin! It will be so long! But i figured I've spent plenty of hours in airports all my across the country by myself for layovers. This should be a nice change.

The next day, after I arrive in Ireland, my parents and sister and I hop over to Liverpool for the day. Then the following week, we will spend the night in London. It should be a GREAT trip!!!!!
